Experiences with The Bagh

The Bagh is your gateway to the famous Kipling’s forest from The Jungle Book, a book that is believed to be set in what today we refer to as the Kanha National Park. But your experience in the forest resort is not limited to that and besides others, includes a closer look into the life and culture of the indigenous tribes of Central India.

Tribal Dance by Baiga Community

Dance performances by the forest dwelling aboriginals of the Baiga tribe are organized at evenings, along with a bonfire. Enjoy their music performed on traditional instruments, including a drum - mandar and a wooden instrument with knobs, called thiski.

Wildlife Slideshows and Films

Special screenings of documentaries on wildlife in the region are made at The Bagh. We also have an impressive collection of slides from the National Park that can be screened on a projector upon request.
